What can I do for you?
Which path is the right path?
More often than not, my clients have a pretty clear idea of what they want to achieve, be it increased sales, column inches, customer engagement or just professional and natural prose that speaks clearly to who they are. The problem that’s been holding them back? Time, conflicting priorities and/or uncertainty as to the best approach. That’s where I step in.
I’m a sounding board, a mood board, a whiteboard and then, I hope, a boardwalk that sends you in the right direction. Sometimes that means giving me free rein to get things going while sometimes it means giving me a tight brief and key messages to turn into clean, tidy prose that does exactly what you want it to.
While AI is now my biggest competitor, I find that it’s giving me a lot of work. Businesses, understandably, are turning to LLMs as a free and easy way to come up with content. But I see that a lot of what’s coming out, even with smart prompts and revisions, just aren’t cutting the mustard. I can and do tidy up AI slop, making it more human and more on brand but, actually, it’s more cost efficient to get me to do it from scratch. It takes longer to rework AI generated content than when I’m given the brief from the get-go. Those prompts, those key words? Send them my way!
I have clients overseas for whom the time difference effectively creates a 24 hour workflow. I work with international companies seeking a fresh voice and I work with regional and local organisations looking for someone who understands their operational contexts. I work with international institutions, corporates, not-for-profits, social enterprises and SMEs; the work is hugely varied (which I love) but the core need with all of these is the same: a reliable, efficient person who can get the job done and done well. I’m on their path and I make sure it’s the right one.

The nature of my work means that a lot of what I’ve written does not have my name to it, nor is it always publicly available. If you’ve got specific questions about my work, I’m always happy to answer them but, in the meantime, you’ll find some samples of my published work in the link below
